BestCare Wins Queen Silvia Nursing Award – Personit-Developed Startup Honored in Stockholm

Personit Team
Queen Silvia Nursing Award ceremony at the Royal Palace in Stockholm

Yesterday, at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, BestCare – an application we’ve been developing at Personit – received the prestigious Queen Silvia Nursing Award. The laureate was Aleksandra Kobza, founder of the project that’s revolutionizing palliative care and elderly care through technology.

👑 Award from the Queen of Sweden

“Hey, can’t talk! The startup we’re supporting just got an award from the Queen of Sweden!” “But you’re the one calling…”

When you think you’ve seen everything in the startup world, moments like this happen. Aleksandra Kobza, founder of BestCare (who’s too busy building her startup to hang out on LinkedIn 😉), calls with news:

“I’m a Queen Silvia Nursing Award laureate, I’m going to Sweden to receive the award from the Queen. Would you like to join me?”

Naturally, Paweł Płowiec (our CEO) flew out.

🏰 Royal Palace Instead of Pizza Place

Usually at startup events, we meet over craft beer and pizza, discussing next funding rounds and growth strategies. This time was different:

  • 🏰 Venue: Royal Palace in Stockholm
  • 👔 Dress code: Full elegance (Paweł’s suit went through express dry cleaning)
  • 🌍 Participants: Startups from 5 countries, including ours - from Poland!
  • 💬 Atmosphere: Zero tech jargon, everything “human-first”

💪 What Was It Really About?

This event wasn’t about flexing startup muscles, announcing million-dollar funding rounds, or slides full of TAMs, SAMs, and SOMs.

It was about something bigger:

How can technology help where it’s truly needed?

  • 🏥 Palliative care - support for patients in their most difficult moments
  • 👴 Elderly care - technology serving dignity and comfort
  • 🤖 Software, AI and robotics - tools that genuinely change people’s lives

This is a topic often overlooked by the young hustler-dominated startup ecosystem. And this is exactly where technology makes the most sense.

🌟 Queen Silvia Nursing Award - What Is It?

QSNA (Queen Silvia Nursing Award) is a competition running for 12 years, supporting innovations in healthcare and nursing.

Initiative organizers:

  • Queen Silvia Nursing Award International
  • Swedish Care International
  • Medicover Foundation

This year, laureates were selected from 5 countries. Poland was one of them, thanks to BestCare.

💼 Personit & BestCare - Case Study

For us at Personit, this is a special moment. We work with dozens of startups every year:

  • ✅ Hundreds of founders
  • ✅ Countless ideas - both conservative and wild
  • ✅ Projects from various industries and countries

But it’s not every day that your client receives an award from the Queen of Sweden at the Royal Palace.

What Did We Build for BestCare?

We created an application using low-code that:

  • ⚡ Accelerates product development (from idea to MVP in record time)
  • 💰 Optimizes costs (crucial for early-stage startups)
  • 🔄 Enables rapid iteration based on user feedback
  • 📈 Scales with project growth

🎯 What Does This Mean for Other Startups?

1. Technology Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated

You don’t need a team of 20 developers and a Series A budget to create a life-changing solution. Low-code lets you focus on the user’s problem, not infrastructure.

2. Impact > Hype

BestCare didn’t chase buzzwords and viral campaigns. It focused on solving a real problem. And got recognized at the highest level.

3. Polish Startups Can Compete Globally

Aleksandra proved that origin doesn’t matter - what counts is vision, determination, and good execution.

🚀 What’s Next?

For BestCare, this is just the beginning. The Queen Silvia Nursing Award means:

  • 🏆 Prestige - international recognition
  • 🌍 Exposure - investor and partner interest
  • 💪 Motivation - confirmation that the idea works
  • 🔗 Network - connections with the best in healthtech

And us at Personit? We’re proud to have been part of this journey.
